Stress Reduction Toolkit for Support Workers
Perfect for stressed out Care and Support Workers especially if they don’t have the time or desire to attend formal training.
Care and Support Workers have demanding and often stressful roles. Many work through breaks and are so busy they can’t take time off shift to attend training. Handling incidents on shift leaves them even more frazzled, and the quality of support offered will eventually suffer.
With the sector experiencing a national staffing shortage, few organisations can afford to send staff on non-mandatory training which will take team members off-shift. So now more than ever, organisations need to focus on staff wellbeing to help them manage the daily stresses of the job.
Imagine Support Workers being able to access wellbeing support exactly when they need it, in the midst of handling an incident, or after a difficult shift.
Imagine Support Workers being better able to cope with the demands of the day because they have learnt how to implement quick, easy techniques to manage their stress levels.
Imagine the reduction in incidents between staff and clients because staff were managing their own stress and fight or flight responses.
After spending nearly 30 years working in our sector in operational roles, I know first-hand the challenges your teams face.
From Support Worker to Senior Manager, my unique combination of skills and experience can help you significantly reduce stress and increase resilience across your teams.

That’s fine. The course is on a website accessible through any browser so providing your IT department doesn’t block it, it can be accessed within or outside of your systems. Ideally, staff would be able to access the course on their own personal devices or through work devices for greatest flexibility.
-
Yes! The programme is conveniently pre-recorded, so it's ideal for staff on different shift patterns, including night staff, to access the units as and when they want to. The content is also suitable for Managers and non-client facing staff.
-
This is a toolkit, which provides practical tools to use in crisis or to build in as longer term strategies rather than a course on Managing Stress or Wellbeing. It is designed to be accessed quickly and applied practically. It also can be used at the discretion of the staff member, so if they don’t want to share their thoughts and feelings about their stress levels publicly, they can still work on their stress and wellbeing, privately.
